The Tomgirlz books and characters are great role models for leadership and many other valuable life skill messages. Using humorous examples from the books as well as her own life, creator Dana Lurie will engage audiences in a timely discussion about bullying and how to stop it . Topics for older audiences include the RECIPE TO MAKE DREAMS COME TRUE based on the new book that will be available next fall titled BAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE. Empowerment through self esteem and respect for others is the mission.

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated. Team Tomgirlz will be showing their spirit at the PARKLAND RELAY FOR LIFE 0n April 30, 2010 ALSO- In celebration of the newest Tomgirlz book release on May 1 for Abbey's Turn, join us for a grand FAMILY FESTIVAL at the Parkland YMCA on April 24, 2010. Highlights of the event are a dance party, kids talent competition, exhibitions, and access to all the greatest vendors for families promoting health, fitness, literacy, and safety.
