MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER for Children & Parents

The Tomgirlz books and characters are great role models for leadership and many other valuable life skill messages. Using humorous examples from the books as well as her own life, creator Dana Lurie will engage audiences in a timely discussion of some of the contradictory messages children and parents face today that leave them stressed and confused. The mission: Empowerment through self esteem and respect for others.

Topic Examples:

• How to be a leader without becoming a ruler
• Shining Star…Show off…where’s the line?
• Staying true to you while caring for others too
• Limited by labels
• “Dreams can come true”  Is that really true or just a feel good phrase people like to use?
• Parents: teaching children to behave and listen without squashing their spirit
• A word about childhood obesity, teasing, and bullying

CHARACTER VISITS

Mackey (the main character of the Tomgirlz chapter books) and her brother Jeremy are part of the “Bringing Books to Life for Literacy program.” They add a lot of entertainment value to any event as they will perform live scenes from the Tomgirlz Talent Troubles book. Expect some great dance performances from Acrobatics to Pop & Lock…you may even get involved in a salsa lesson! The characters are also available to answer questions, take photos with guests, and sign autographs.

PARTIES

Looking for the perfect entertainment for a birthday party or children’s function? Invite the TOMGIRLZ! Mackey and Jeremy will perform and then they'll lead your guests in all the great interactive dances kids love like the cha cha slide, Cotton Eyed Joe, or any special requests. You'll even learn a new thing or two when they teach some salsa steps and pop & lock moves. All music provided…
